CPF stands for Certified Picture Framer. This is a
national certification awarded by the Professional
Picture Framer Association only after completing a
rigorous, 3 hour, written exam. A CPF must have
extensive knowledge of framing techniques as well
as mat cutting and embellishment, paper properties,
hinging and mounting techniques, glazing
applications and design.
